As an art teacher and illustrator, Lyn Norton is available to visit schools to teach special art workshops to the children. She currently has four workshops to choose from:

Art Workshop #1 – Drawing Animals
Art Workshop #2 – Drawing Birds
Art Workshop #3 – Under the Sea
Art Workshop #4 – Cartoon Characters

• Step-by-step drawing lessons
• Shading techniques with colored pencils

Purpose: Teach students the process of creating and illustrating

Students often feel they cannot draw. These step-by-step art lessons will show even the most skeptical of talents that drawing can be easy and fun. By breaking the illustration down into simple steps, the children will be able to successfully follow along and create a wonderful drawing. This builds self-confidence and allows children to explore talents that may have been hidden under a blanket of frustration.

Program: Presentation and hands-on drawing exercises

Children will participate in a 30 to 45 minute art lesson guiding them in an easy to follow, step-by-step process to create their own original drawing. The children will be delighted with their final drawing. Shading techniques will be shared with the class. It is advised that each child have colored pencils available to finish their drawing with color.
